WorkSpace Communications™ creates marketing alliance with Ingram Micro

Integrated Communications firm featured in new Ingram Micro Cloud Marketplace, providing Ingram Micro resellers access to cloud communication and collaboration services providers.

Overland Park, Kan., Nov. 10, 2010 – WorkSpace Communications™, an integrated communications firm specializing in Microsoft Unified Communications solutions, today announced it is among the first cloud communication and collaboration service providers to be featured within Ingram Micro Inc.’s (NYSE: IM) new Cloud Marketplace. The Ingram Micro Cloud Marketplace provides Ingram Micro’s resellers throughout the U.S. and Canada access to an aggregated group of cloud-based computing and communications services providers.

WorkSpace delivers a “cloud-based” suite of communication and collaboration tools right to the desktop. Among the tools are internet-based phone service, email, and audio-, video- and web-based conferencing services, as well as instant messaging, real-time desk sharing and the unique unified communications “presence” tool. Presence enables employees to assess the availability of co-workers, allowing them to more efficiently communicate with each other throughout the day, regardless of location. By combining all of the disparate voice, video, messaging and collaboration media into a single, integrated cloud-based service offering, WorkSpace Communications transforms and streamlines the way businesses communicate, creating a competitive advantage.

“This marketing alliance with Ingram Micro provides WorkSpace with access to thousands of targeted resellers interested in providing cost-effective, quality cloud-based unified communications solutions to their customers. This further develops our rapidly expanding nationwide partner network of quality distribution points,” says Bryan DiGiorgio, chief executive officer of WorkSpace Communications. “Ingram Micro demonstrates its leadership with the Ingram Micro Cloud and we’re excited to be one of the first cloud-centric service providers to participate in this new online marketplace.”

The new Cloud Marketplace was introduced earlier this week as part of the Ingram Micro Cloud. Billed as the epicenter of Ingram Micro’s IT services strategy, the Ingram Micro Cloud is a partner enablement platform, which includes the new partner website www.ingrammicrocloud.com, as well as the Ingram Micro Cloud Services Network and online Cloud Marketplace.
